Hello, I’m Rae

Apparently when a woman hits 44, its the year she starts to think about the second half of her life. With perimenopause looming, breakdown of relationships, loss, grief, career changes, kids growing up, elderly relatives needing more support. It’s no wonder we feel lost, maybe angry and resentful. Of course there are also lots of lovely and exciting things happening too, but if like me you put yourself at the bottom of the list you’ve reached a point of burnout, not recognising who you are anymore, what you want, or who you want to be.

My journey started when I hit 40, newly separated and (re)learning who I was, what I wanted and quite frankly, how the hell I ended up where I had!

I started prioritising me, focusing on self-care, healing, being curious and excited for the next adventure. I invested in my personal and professional development and worked with some amazing coaches and therapists. I found my voice, rediscovered who I am and all I wanted to achieve. I took actions that previously I’d been afraid to do and I chose to be vulnerable, show up, and take action.

My coaches and mentors inspired me to use my talents and passions to trust in myself, recognise my worth and make the changes I wanted in my life.

I spent 25+ years working in the NHS. I fell into the role at 18 and with the support of a mentor or two along the way had a successful and varied career in People and Organisational Development roles. I was always learning, taking on new challenges, and wanting to make a difference to the colleagues I worked with.

My HR role as part of a Divisional Management team gave me the knowledge and experience that led to my passion for leadership and talent development. Designing, delivering and evaluating Leadership Programmes, being part of the leaders journey and watching them flourish was so rewarding. But where I really came alive was the 1:1 work with individuals, and small groups/teams to identify what was getting in their way, and how they could achieve their aspirations.

Working in a acute hospital during covid created opportunities and different ways of working. It gave me space to reflect and rediscover talents that I had lost sight of. I worked with a coach to (re) identify my values, vision and my purpose.

And, that is where the magic happened! I turned my learning, passion and energy into supporting other women like you and me focusing on career, wellbeing and happiness.

Together we will shine!

“Coaching is my passion. Working with people 1:1 has always been part of my working life, but coaching is where I really light up. It’s my purpose.”
